On 1 May 2026, during the 7th season of London Fashion Day, KEKA presented TRACE, a new collection built around form, clarity of line and the quiet presence of memory.
TRACE is not a collection that speaks loudly. Its strength lies in precision. At its core is a simple, almost instinctive idea: clothing does not need to be overloaded to feel complete. For KEKA, minimalism is not the absence of detail, but the accuracy of detail – the moment when every line, fold and proportion has its place.
The collection explores how personal memories can gradually transform into clothing. Not through direct references or literal storytelling, but through atmosphere, movement and silhouette. Memory here is not illustrated. It is felt.
Classic tailoring forms one side of the collection’s language. Structured shoulders and double-breasted constructions bring definition and control, while softer volumes, pleating and lightweight layers introduce ease. This dialogue between restraint and movement becomes one of the central tensions of TRACE.
The trench coat appears as the key piece of the season. KEKA reinterprets it in several ways, moving from structured fabrics to matte organza. The silhouette remains recognisable, but its feeling changes. In organza, the trench becomes lighter, almost weightless, showing how a familiar form can hold a different emotion.
Pleated trousers also play an important role in shaping the collection. They create volume, proportion and rhythm within the looks. Culottes with stitched pleats visually read as a skirt, while keeping the clarity and functionality of trousers – another quiet balance between softness and structure.
Details remain deliberately understated. Straps, side adjusters and belts are not treated as decoration, but as considered elements that complete the silhouette. Nothing feels excessive. Every detail works in support of the form.
Material becomes another layer of the story. Wool, linen and cotton give the collection structure, while knitwear and organza bring lightness, softness and depth. Together, they create a tactile contrast that reflects the collection’s wider idea: the trace left by form, memory and movement.
Presented at London Fashion Day Season 7, KEKA TRACE becomes a study of what remains after the first impression. A trace of a line. A trace of a memory. A trace of something personal, transformed into clothing.
